Easy to Use Tools for Collaboration

Group Collaboration Tools

Tools which provide a workspace for groups to share. Generally have multiple functions such as discussions, synchronous meetings, file storage and editing of files. Specific functions vary between sites.

Collaborative document creation

Similar to group collaboration tools but focus on document creation and collaboration.

Tool for creation of wikis - be sure to visit the teacher specific site to be able to create a no cost advertisement free wiki.

Single use tools

These tools are generally the easiest to use because their functionality is limited to one specific task.

Easy to set up a private chat and then share the link with others with whom you would like to chat.

No set up involved and includes text and video chat capabilities.

Writeboards are sharable, web-based text documents that let you save every edit, roll back to any version, and easily compare changes. Use Writeboard to write solo or collaborate with others.

Tool for taking notes on your computer and you can share your notes with others by giving them the workspace name or the URL.
